Oskar Blues Inaugural Burning Can

Description: Oskar Blues invites you to join the EVOLUTION of craft beer with the initial all Canned Beer Ragbag at its roots, Lyons, CO. Under the backdrop of Rocky Mountain National Park, Burning Can offers up the future prospect of craft beer civilization by pulling all the plugs on beer traditions. Craft Beer from a number of local Canning Pioneers, Live Music by Nashville’s Bonepony, Can Art, Beer Can Chicken & other beer-infused dishes collide to create an inaugural event sure to shake the status quo the way canned beer was meant to.

Participating breweries include Breckenridge Brewery, Boulder Beer, Lefthand, New Belgium, Oskar Blues, Pug Ryans, Pumphouse, Silverton, Ska, Steamworks & Upslope.

Why: To Celebrate Craft Beer in a Can & benefit The Colorado Brewers Guild.

21st Colorado Brewers' Festival

Description: After hearing avid beer lovers’ voices event organizers and the Downtown Business Association Board of Directors adjust the entrance fees to $25 for this year’s 21st Annual Colorado Brewers’ Festival. The focus of the event is to get Colorado beer fans access to this year’s new event format which includes face-to-face brewery interactions, Colorado beer sampling including taster notes, enjoying local food, two stages of stellar Colorado music, as well as bringing the community and long time friends together to celebrate.

32nd National Homebrewers Conference

Description: The 32nd annual National Homebrewers Conference will be held June 17-19, 2010 in Minneapolis at the Sheraton Minneapolis South.

Last year's conference sold out with a record number of 1,200 attendees! The Twin Cities is home to the St. Paul Homebrewers Club, the AHA's Homebrew Club of the Year for two year's running. This promises to be another record breaking year, and a conference not to be missed!

The competition was restricted to beers that have previously won a Gold Medal at an International beer competition. Our professional judges tasted all beer double-blind and awarded 30 medals. 16th Annual Eight Seconds of Froth

Description: The High Plains Drafters of Cheyenne Wyoming is hosting their 16th Annual Eight Seconds of Froth on Saturday, May 22th. This is a BJCP sanctioned competition for all beer and mead/cider categories. We're soliciting entries, but just as important, judges and stewards.

It's now time to sign up to judge or steward. (Lunch will be provided for all our judges and stewards.) Check out our website http://www.bbriggs.vcn.com/8seconds.html for complete details.

This year our judging and awards site will once again be at the historic Plains Hotel in downtown Cheyenne WY. This year's competition will be a qualifying event for the 2010 GABF Pro-AM competition. Brewmaster Nathan Venner of the Altitude Chophouse and Brewery in Laramie WY will be selecting one of the category winning beers to be brewed and entered in this year's 2010 GABF Pro-Am competition.

This is the sixth year of our Ace of Clubs competition within a competition. Homebrew clubs will be awarded points for each entry, judge and steward, and for all 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners in each category also BOS beer and BOS mead. The winning club receives a traveling trophy that they get to hold on to for the year. Previous winners have been Foam on the Range-2005, Keg Ran Out Club-2006, Liquid Poets-2007, Keg Ran Out Club-2008 and Superior HBC-2009.

All BJCP beer categories (1-23) are accepted. $6/per entry.
