Temptation Release Party

starts: August 13th, 2009 at 05:00 PM
ends: August 13th, 2009 at 07:00 PM

Location: Falling Rock Tap House - 1919 Blake Street,  Denver, CO  80202  (map)

Description: Thursday August 13th 5-7pm Russian River Temptation Release.

Temptation: "Aged in French oak wine barrels for twelve months with distinct characteristics of fruit and subtle oak" sounds more like a description of wine than beer. However, Temptation is indeed beer. Temptation is a Blonde Ale aged in French oak chardonnay barrels with Brettanomyces. Flavors of wine and oak absorb into the brew throughout its aging. Temptation is re-fermented in the bottle to create its carbonation--a process commonly used to make fine champagne and sparkling wine. Spent yeast forms a thin layer of sediment to remain in the bottle.

7.25%ABV / 1.062 O.G

Silver Medal, 2007 GABF (Wood- and Barrel-Aged Sour Beer)
Gold Medal, 2006 World Beer Cup (Other Belgian Style Ale Category)
Silver Medal, 2004 World Beer Cup (Other Belgian Style Ale Category)
Silver Medal, 2003 GABF (Belgian Ale Category)
Gold Medal, 2002 GABF (Belgian Ale Category)

Natalie Cilurzo will be attending the release party so come on out & join us.

ends: August 9th, 2009 at 06:00 PM

Location: Memorial Park - 502 Manitou Ave,  Manitou Springs, CO  80829  (map)

Description: Craft Lager Festival, Inc. is a 501c(7) non-profit organization staffed by volunteers. We host an annual beer festival for bottom-fermented, hand-crafted beers (craft lagers). USA Today rated us one of the top ten beer festivals in the country. We continue to be the only U. S. beer festival that highlights this specific type of beer, provides a setting with close access to the brewers, and offers a solar-powered, sustainable festival. The setting for this year is Memorial Park in beautiful Manitou Springs, Colorado. Manitou offers world-class outdoor activities, great sights such as Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods, and nearby dining and lodging.

All proceeds for this event support open space and parks in Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs. To date we have supported Section 16 and Red Rock Canyon Open Space, Friends of Cheyenne Canyon, and Soda Springs Park. The more tickets we sell, the more we can support our local parks.

For the last eight years we have consistently achieved 40% year-over-year growth and strive to provide the best brewing festival in the nation. We want YOUR experience to be the best possible one during the event.
