Call for Entries: Gnarly Barley Competition

Description: Entries will be accepted at the locations listed here from July 16—23, 2010.
All entries must be received (mail or drop off) by 5:00 PM on Friday, July 23rd.

Winners will be announced during the Gnarly Barley Brew Festival on Saturday, August 7, 2010. The festival is from 1:00 – 6:00 pm. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each judged category. Additional prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, Stewards Choice, Most Original Name, and a Standing Ovations Award selected from participant’s entering a
homebrew competition for the first time.

14th Annual Colorado Brewers Rendezvous

Annual Club Iron Brewer Competition

Description: Get ready to throw down at the 2010 Iron Brewer Competition!

Each participant should bring all their homebrew gear. Brewing water will be provided. We'll start around 10am on the patio of Dry Dock Brewing.

A bag of ingredients will be given to each brewer (multiple varieties of grains, hops, yeast, etc). Everyone must then formulate a recipe using only the ingredients given to them. Beers will be brewed on-site (using your personal gear) and then taken home to ferment.

We'll gather all the Iron Brewer beers and judge them as a Club at this year's picnic in August.

Stapleton Beer Festival

Description: The Stapleton Community Association is hosting its first Beer Festival on The Green, June 26th from 4-9pm.

The festival will feature Colorado Breweries. These breweries include; Oskar Blues, AC Golden, New Belgium, Boulder Beer, Breckenridge Brewery, Great Divide, Miller/Coors and a few that are still in the works. There will even be a booth staffed by local homebrewers with information on how to setup your own system.

The advance ticket cost is $20. Tickets will be available at the event for $25. Tickets include beer tasting throughout the afternoon, food tastings, and a commemorative tasting glass.

Music entertainment will include Déjà’ Blu from 4-6pm and Wendy Woo from 7-9pm. An area will be available for those who just want to enjoy the music free of charge. Food and beverages will be available for anyone to purchase at this event. It should be a great time! Come join us.

Oskar Blues Inaugural Burning Can

Description: Oskar Blues invites you to join the EVOLUTION of craft beer with the initial all Canned Beer Ragbag at its roots, Lyons, CO. Under the backdrop of Rocky Mountain National Park, Burning Can offers up the future prospect of craft beer civilization by pulling all the plugs on beer traditions. Craft Beer from a number of local Canning Pioneers, Live Music by Nashville’s Bonepony, Can Art, Beer Can Chicken & other beer-infused dishes collide to create an inaugural event sure to shake the status quo the way canned beer was meant to.

Participating breweries include Breckenridge Brewery, Boulder Beer, Lefthand, New Belgium, Oskar Blues, Pug Ryans, Pumphouse, Silverton, Ska, Steamworks & Upslope.

Why: To Celebrate Craft Beer in a Can & benefit The Colorado Brewers Guild.
