(map)
Description: Join us in celebration of 17 years of boundary pushing brews on the first Sunday in August at our brewery in Boulder. We'll be tapping dozens of different Avery brews, roasting pigs (veggie options too) for an all-you-can eat BBQ, and kicking back to enjoy some tunes and the summer sunshine. We've enlisted the help of StrayGrass, The Mike Woodard Band and several other bands to help set the mood for the day. Bring your dancing shoes and don't miss this annual summer rite of passage!
An additional $20 ($40 total) will gain you admission to the Rare Beer Tasting Area (5, 5oz tasting tickets per person) inside the Avery Barrel-Aging Cellars, where you'll have the opportunity to choose samples from a selection of 14 rare and wild brews on tap. We'll have aged beers from our Demons of Ale series, multiple selections from our Barrel-Aged Series and several more exceedingly rare treats. For those Avery Anniversary Party vets, the Rare Beer Tasting Area is meant to replace the Vertical Tasting that we've done in past years.
All proceeds from the Avery Anniversary Party and the Rare Beer Tasting will go to help our friend Mara Brightstar and her couragous fight against cancer. Contact: cv@averybrewing.com

Great Divide Seasonals Release Party
starts: August 6th, 2010 at 06:00 PM ends: August 6th, 2010 at 09:00 PM Location: Great Divide Brewing Co. - 2201 Arapahoe Street, Denver, CO 80205
(map)
Description: Yes, Great Divide is releasing two brand new seasonal beers this summer.
Rumble IPA is an American IPA with subtle nuance. Brewed with heavy handed additions of Pacific Northwest hops, this beer is gently aged on French and American oak resulting in a wonderful balance of bitterness, caramel sweetness, vanilla, and undertones of pine and citrus. Very inspiring. 7.1% ABV. Available in six packs and on draft.
Smoked Baltic Porter is the sultry sister of a storied style. Brewed with traditional German malts and hops, this dark lager gets its special twist from a hefty addition of Bamberg smoked malt. This smoldering, medium-bodied lager is sure to please. Smoked Baltic Porter is smooth, smoky and dark...mysterious enough yet? 6.2% ABV. Available in 22oz bottles and on draft.
Come celebrate the release of these tasty treats Friday August 6th from 6-9pm in the brewhouse. $15 admission includes 4 drink tickets and 2 food tickets. Contact: info@greatdivide.com
